
Ayu is Co-Founder and Managing Director of COMET – Community Energy Toolkit, a participatory software platform that facilitates community engagement, demand assessment, and energy planning for mini-grids and decentralized energy systems. She also serves as the Executive Director at Energy Action Partners, an international nonprofit focused on capacity building and community-driven energy access solutions. With over fifteen years of international experience, her expertise spans renewable energy, energy transition policy, and inclusive energy planning within mini-grid development. A 2023 Malaysia Acumen Fellow, Ayu is passionate about participatory and inclusive energy planning as a critical pathway to achieving universal energy access. She is also a Board Member of the Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE), advocating for decentralized renewable energy solutions globally. She holds a B.S. and M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University and an M.Sc. in Engineering Systems & Management from the Masdar Institute.
