
Debbie is a distinguished design leader with over 18 years of experience driving transformative change across complex public and social challenges in Asia and globally through human-centered design. Excelling in navigating intricate, multi-dimensional problems where solutions are ambiguous, she leverages design as a powerful force for social good by collaborating with organisations across sectors to shape innovative, sustainable futures. Applying her expertise in change leadership through ethnography, participatory action research, co-design, and design leadership. Her methods foster transformative experiences that generate impactful, actionable outcomes for her clients.
Debbie’s mantra in design thinking is allowing space for imagination, exploration and skills-building. She believes that learning can only have a long-lasting impact if people are engaged and having an amazing experience. Her go-to in design is ensuring that the design methods, mindsets and thinking skills are well understood.
Debbie recently completed her PhD studies with NUS Division of Industrial Design, where she pioneers a research in design leadership in the public sector. Fuelled by a deep commitment to empowering others, she dedicates herself to coaching public leaders and advancing women’s causes as well. She currently coach leaders in the public sector in design leadership with the Civil Service College.
