Heeran Kaur

Heeran Kaur is a Licensed Professional Counsellor and Special Education Needs Consultant with over 20 years of experience in mental health and education. Operating under the Soffskills Network, she manages two parallel practices: providing therapeutic counselling for individuals and facilitating learning for differently-abled children. Additionally, Heeran consults with clients at Atlantis Healthcare Clinic in Damansara Heights.

A former lawyer, Heeran transitioned into the mental health and special education field after marriage and motherhood, earning a Master’s in Counselling and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Special Education. Her expertise spans a diverse range of clients, including children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly, addressing mental health challenges such as stress, anxiety, and depression. She is also a pioneer of parenting therapy in Malaysia, helping families navigate the complexities of raising children in today’s world.

In her work with differently-abled learners, Heeran is skilled in facilitating learning for children with Autism, Dyslexia, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), using tailored approaches to meet each child’s unique needs.

A HRDF-certified trainer, Heeran regularly contributes to podcasts, media articles, conferences, and webinars, and she is a familiar voice on BFM 89.9’s Counsellor’s Corner. Her approach is rooted in adaptability, ensuring that each client receives personalized, effective support.
